Great Support

Dear Friends and Family,

Lauren and I are overwhelmed by the support you have shown us during this campaign.  Your outpouring of support and contributions has our Columbus Day fundraising goals within reach.  Each day we draw closer and closer to the pinnacle of success – that is due to you.  I thank you and will work as hard as you do to make this Country, State, and County what it is designed to be.

If you should still want to contribute, all you have to do is send what you feel is right to Tom Winslow – Candidate for House Seat 103, 2510 Withers Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.  It is truly that easy.   For those of you who have already contributed, much of those contributions have gone to the 150 + yard signs that you are seeing around district 103.  If you would like a yard sign for your home in District 103 please just email me at Tom@winwithwinslow.com and I will bring you one.  We also have flyers, stickers, bumper stickers, koozies, and so much more.  If there is anything you want or anything you want to pass around, please just email me and ask for it.

We are now moving into the next planned phase of the campaign.  It is said that it takes a voter eight views to know whom they will vote for.  We hope to give them much more than that as we are planning for some mailings shortly.  One of the best things you can do for any candidate is simply talk to your family and friends about the candidates you support.  Give them information and if you want send me their name and phone number.  I am happy to call them myself.

A great supporter of mine went to the local Food Lion and placed fliers on people’s windshields.  Another friend and supporter is helping me spread the word by going door to door.  Many other people have hosted or will be hosting events in their community.  It is not too late and if you have an idea, I want to hear about it.  After all, I am here to serve you.

Now let me give back to you.  Tomorrow at 11:30-12:30, Tom Rice and I will take a break from our Georgetown Industry Tour to be the guest of Tim Tilley at Envirosep. (125 Aviation Blvd., Georgetown., SC, intersection of Aviation Blvd. and Hwy 17 South.)  Lunch will be provided and all are invited to come out.  Come and see this incredible Georgetown Business, meet the candidates, and have a great lunch.

I hope to see y’all there,

Tom

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As many of you probably realized, I had taken a little break from writing this blog while collecting
petition signatures.  I have received word that I am on the ballot and moving forward full steam ahead. Many exciting events are coming up.

I sit in the home my wife and I purchased to begin our life together writing this letter on Labor Day.
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the
social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the
contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Without
the hard work and dedication of the workers before us, my wife and I would not have the ability to
provide for our children’s futures.

Labor Day was originally organized to celebrate various labor associations' strengths and contributions
to the United States economy. It is largely a day of rest now – but is that by choice for most Americans?
Many people mark Labor Day as the end of the summer season and a last chance to make trips or hold
outdoor events, unfortunately many people today cannot afford those opportunities.

Unemployment is on the rise and in Georgetown County, SC our unemployment is over 10%. That is
simply unacceptable and that is why I have decided to run for State House Seat 103. If the people we elect
are not representing us then it is time to replace those people. If their ideas are not working, get new
ideas. If the politicians are not working, get representatives who will work.

We the People need jobs and in order to get jobs we need business, infrastructure, and economic
stability. The Government was founded to provide us with an atmosphere that we could create our
own success – not dependence. The American work force created the highest standard of living and
the greatest production the world has ever known and has brought us closer to the realization of our
traditional ideals of economic and political democracy. It is appropriate, therefore, that the nation pays
tribute on Labor Day to the creator of so much of the nation's strength, freedom, and leadership — the
American worker.

As citizens, it is time to rise up and elect representatives in order to create more jobs for these workers,
so that each American can be successful and provide for their families. I ask for your support, whether
it be contributing $25 or $2,500.  I ask for your support by spreading the word and volunteering with the
campaign. I ask for your support by voting for me November 6, 2012.

Tom Winslow
